SD&P insurance is essential for the everyday use of your vehicle when not used for work and is a legal requirement unless the vehicle is declared off-road.
However, SD&P insurance alone doesn't cover food delivery work.
For this, in addition to SD&P, you'll need either Hire and Reward insurance or Fast food delivery insurance.
Insurance for the carriage of goods, including food, for hire and reward, is a specific type of coverage required by Stamford Eats riders who carry out food deliveries using a car or scooter.
This insurance provides coverage when using your vehicle for work, and proof of this insurance is necessary before commencing riding with us.
If you're unsure where to obtain this insurance, some commonly used providers among riders are listed:
Zego offers pay-as-you-go courier insurance.
TradeX provides food delivery insurance.
Acorn offers food delivery insurance for couriers.
